Market consolidation in progress - please wait
Last week, Sparrow developers announced they were going to Google. Next, Acrylic Software, the maker of Pulp for iPad and OS X announced they we’re going to Facebook. Big gunners are looking for talent, great people with great skills on iOS. People react very badly to these events as seen here and here. Something profound may be happening right now: market consolidation.
Meanwhile, on Android, look at this picture: Samsung seems to become the dominant player of the Android handset makers. Behind the market fragmentation of Android, consolidation could happen there too.
What is weird in this context is Apple apparent lack of any acquisitions, small or big. How do they grow their talent?
