When I see rumors like that, I start to laugh then my amusement come rapidly to an end when I realize how clueless some analysts can be.

iOS, an operating system based on Mac OS X is already geared toward multithreading. As far as we know, iOS isn’t known as a slow operating system. Even with bigger screen iPhones, I can see that graphics performance are directly dependent on the graphic processors, not the A6 or A7 chip.

So when I read that Apple will “rework” iOS in order to support processors with more cores, it is just an obvious fact being stated. Oh and remember, Apple isn’t interested is creating spec sheets but great products. Not the same thing.
