Today Apple showed us that they are striking a pause. Not a bad quarter at all but Q4 numbers seems a bit low. What is your take?

According to the Q2 financial results of Apple today, gross margins were at about 47%. What if Apple lowered their product price just a bit instead of giving money to a bunch of clueless share holders? Just a thought.

Today, Apple will announce its FY2012 first quarter results. They run from october, 1 2011 to december 30, 2011. This will be the first full quarter where Steve Jobs wasn’t among us. I think he would be proud of what we’ll see today.

Here is what I personally expect.

• Monster quarter of iPhone unit sales;
• Strong quarter for iPad unit sales;
• In line with expectations Mac unit sales;
• Declining iPod unit sales;

When Apple release their next quarter results, expect them to be stellar. Expect also someone to write or to think: normal, Steve Jobs passing away, many bought their products in sympathy to his lost.
