Apple sends invites for October 22nd event: ‘we still have a lot to cover’

There you have it. Here is what I expect:
MacBook Pro updates.
Mac Pro officially announced with availability date.
Mac OS X Maverick general availability @ $ 9.99.
Fifth generation iPad with updated design à la iPad mini @ current iPad price points.
Second generation iPad mini with Retina Display @ current mini price points.
First generation iPad mini still available for $ 259.
iWork updates for iOS 7.
iLife updates for iOS 7.
This will conclude 2013. No iWatch. No new Apple TV.
Here is another good piece on what could be in store next week.

Watch Josh on Rock Center with Brian Williams at 11:30pm ET after Tim Cook’s interview
Apple CEO Tim Cook is on something of a PR blitz today. In addition to his extensive profile in Bloomberg Businessweek, he’ll also be featured in an interview with Brian Williams on Rock Center tonight. Our own Joshua Topolsky will join Brian Williams in a chat right after the segment airs, tonight at 11:30pm ET. You can watch the segment live right here.

I wish Steve Jobs would have done this more often. Great to see Tim Cook on the spotlight! People will start to get him eventually.
