Samsung, is there an end in sight for the ever increasing side of your smartphone?
A user review on Apple’s Podcasts app. No more comments.
Interesting point of view on who is really innovating these days. What is innovation actually. Good read.
“Don’t confuse innovations with features. Real innovations are game changers. Features aren’t always game changers but often refinements of somethings that were.”
In the new this week in the smartphone industry, BlackBerry CEO Thorsten Heins thinks the iOS and the iPhone are passé things. Samsung has an opinion on Windows 8 success and prefers to sell plastic devices with a “soul” while Apple is trying hard to revive itself according to the respected BGR.com.
After being bored by Apple with their new and only iterative releases of the iPhone, it seems that the same is happening to Samsung. Who new.
Samsung is presenting the Galaxy S4. Samsung kind of forget to mention this in an Android device. The number of software features (add-ons if you prefer, or gimmicks I prefer) is impressive. Nobody really care about most of the new features except all the geeks on earth. The others? They prefer products with a sense of balance between feature set, usefulness and really great device.
It seems that proposing incremental update of the Galaxy S3 (via the Galaxy S4) isn’t going to cut it for Samsung either, just like the iPhone 4S for Apple. Oh, wait, it did for Apple.
Look how crowded a Samsung default screen is. They tend to choose flashy backgrounds instead of more subtle ones which could help show the phone design and the icons.
Samsung has no taste IMHO.
“Samsung sells spec sheets, Apple sells products.”
