On bi-annual iPhone update releases
Interesting analysis from MacStories.net here. Apple has pressure to update more frequently their offerings even if only very incremental updates. This is a very important shift in strategy compared to the Steve Jobs era. But the world is moving fast and market conditions too.

This blog post is dedicated to all Apple employees. Today we, as customers, saw the fruit of your hard labor and attention to details. We spend some time updating our iPhone or iPad to iOS 6 followed by iPhoto, Pages, Numbers, Remote, Air Print Utility, Find my Friends, Find my iPhone, Mac OS X 10.8.2, Aperture, iPhoto et al. These updates makes my digital life a bit easier. For all of this, I want to say a big Thank you.
